ABOUT US

Pole Factory MKE is deeply rooted in the philosophy that a holistic approach to pole dancing offers the most fulfilling experience. For many of our students, the moment they become hooked is when they realize that pole dancing is far more than just a dance class. It becomes a transformative journey of self-discovery—an intimate form of expression that taps into something few other activities can.

Our approach is centered around three core pillars: Pole, Fitness, and Wellness. The Pole pillar reflects our expertise in providing a well-rounded pole dance experience that is accessible to everyone, regardless of body type, gender, or experience level. The Fitness pillar emphasizes the importance of proper cross-training to minimize injury risk, especially in a relatively new sport like pole dancing. From day one, we teach our students how to safely navigate their pole journey with careful attention to their bodies’ needs.

The Wellness pillar draws from the owner’s background in Ayurvedic medicine and passion for overall well-being. Pole dancing, at its best, is not just physical—it’s a way for individuals to discover and amplify their voice in ways that might not be possible elsewhere. It’s an activity that enhances quality of life, making it a cornerstone of the Pole Factory experience.

We are incredibly proud of our staff composition—about 50% of our instructors are strippers. This is a distinction that sets us apart from other studios and makes us one of the only studios in Wisconsin with such a unique, inclusive staff. We believe in empowering those who are often underrepresented in the pole community and giving them a platform to share their expertise and passion. Our team is intentionally curated to ensure that every instructor is aligned with our mission and truly has the best interests of the students in mind.

We are also one of the few pole studios with an on-site massage suite and a physical therapist, providing comprehensive care that most studios simply cannot offer. This added benefit ensures that our students have access to top-tier support for both body and mind.

A WELCOME

FROM THE OWNER

When I opened Pole Factory in my apartment in 2021, I had no business plan, no booking system, and only the dollar bills I brought in from the strip club. What I did know was that I wanted this studio to be bigger than myself, and I was determined to do whatever it took to make it work. I ran the studio in the workspace half of my warehouse apartment on the third floor—directly above where we are located now. The original space was only 750 square feet (about the size of the Yoga Room for reference) and had just six poles, three of which were stage poles. The floors were concrete, and the only nice thing we had were the huge 10-foot mirrors I splurged on. Despite the modest setup, the students, instructors, and I loved the space dearly for 2 years.

The original studio was never meant to be permanent though, and by 2023, we had outgrown it. After looking at every space I could find to tour, I coincidentally found one on the second floor with potential. It was a mess—no flooring, no drywall, and no light switches—but I had a vision of the beautiful haven we could create there. I was terrified by the scale of the project, but I knew I had to do it for the love of the pole community in Milwaukee. So, in August 2023, I signed the lease. I worked nights at Silk Exotic and spent my days doing demolition and assisting the construction crew. We were able to move downstairs in October 2023, and while it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, it was also one of the most rewarding.

Pole Factory has become something beyond myself, and I’ve poured every bit of love and effort I have into it. It’s been an honor to nurture this “baby” and see it grow into what it is today. I am incredibly grateful to have such a talented group of instructors and management by my side, helping to be the heart of it all. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting Pole Factory and being part of this amazing journey. In this industry, we don’t do it because we have to—we do it because we absolutely FUCKING LOVE IT! Welcome to Pole Factory!

OUR LOGO

After 8 years of visiting pole studios nationwide and 7 working in a dark, windowless club, I envisioned something unique for Pole Factory. Most studios I encountered used moody dark colors, with shades of pink and purple. Although the quality of these studios was impeccable, I sought a different vibe—one that was neutral, warm, bright, and inviting.

I yearned for a space filled with natural light that felt like an open slate for creativity. At Pole Factory, we’ve achieved just that. Our studio features white walls, gentle green accents, and plenty of plants, creating a warm and lively atmosphere. I wanted it to feel like a safe haven where you’d enjoy spending an afternoon dancing.

Inclusivity was the key focus when designing our logo. I worked closely with the designer to create a logo that balanced both feminine and masculine elements, reflecting our commitment to welcoming everyone. At Pole Factory, we cherish our community and proudly embrace all genders. We warmly embrace everyone who shares our passion for pole dancing, inviting you to feel at home in our welcoming space.

WHY “POLE FACTORY”?

Pole Factory’s name is inspired by the unique character of its building. Nestled in an old Milwaukee warehouse built in 1915 with classic Cream City brick, this building has had a fascinating history. It once housed a brush factory producing everything from toothbrushes to chimney sweeps, transitioned into a boat engine factory, and saw various other uses before becoming a furniture factory. Our studio occupies what used to be the office floor for the furniture factory. Although much of the original layout has been renovated, we preserved the authentic steel vault, complete with its original lock and logo. The building also retains its original windows, adding to the historical charm of our vibrant space.
